NRI Darshan Package

A special "NRI Darshan" facility to provide a smoother and quicker pilgrimage experience for Non-Resident Indians and foreign nationals.

NRI Darshan Package Tirupati

"NRI Darshan" refers to a special entry and darshan (visit) facility provided by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and foreign nationals at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, India.

This facility is designed to offer a faster and more convenient pilgrimage experience for those who have recently arrived in India.

Key Points of NRI Darshan:

  • Eligibility: To be eligible for NRI Darshan, you must be a Non-Resident Indian or a foreign national of Indian origin. A crucial criterion is that your arrival in India should be less than 30 days from the date of your darshan.

  • Documents Required: You must present the following original documents at the counter for verification:

    • A valid foreign passport.

    • A valid visa or an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card.

    • The latest immigration entry stamp in your passport, showing your date of arrival in India.

    • A photocopy of your passport (along with the visa and immigration details).

    • Children under 12 years of age can accompany their parents for free but should have a valid age proof like a birth certificate.

  • Booking Process: NRI Darshan tickets are not available for advance online booking through the official TTD website. This is a spot-booking facility.

    • You must report to the Supadam entrance or the designated Special Darshan Queue Complex (near ATC Circle) at Tirumala.

    • At the counter, you will need to fill out a form and submit your documents for verification.

    • Once your documents are verified and approved, you can purchase the Special Darshan ticket.

  • Cost: The cost of the ticket is ₹300 per person.

  • Timings: The reporting time for NRI Darshan is generally between 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM (timings may vary, so it is best to confirm on the day of your visit).

  • Benefits: This facility provides a dedicated entry point and a special queue, which significantly reduces the waiting time compared to the general queue.

  • Restrictions:

    • Only NRI devotees are allowed to use this facility. Friends or relatives who are not NRIs are generally not permitted to accompany them in this specific queue.

    • Strict dress codes are enforced. Men should wear traditional attire like a dhoti, kurta, or pyjama, while women are expected to wear a saree or salwar kameez.

    • Electronic gadgets, including mobile phones, are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.

Alternative Options for NRIs:

If you do not meet the 30-day arrival criterion or if you prefer a different darshan experience, there are other options:

  • ₹300 Special Entry Darshan: This is a general special entry darshan that can be booked online in advance through the TTD website.

  • Srivani Trust Donation: By making a donation of ₹10,000 to the Srivani Trust, you can receive a VIP Break Darshan ticket. This can be done at designated counters at the airport or in Tirumala.
